The Purpose of Blogging

We've had three different types of weather in ten minutes. Folks, it looks like it's officially springtime in Oregon.

The other day, I was thinking about blogging. Specifically, why I blog.

Wait.

Why DO I blog?

Hmm. Let's start at the beginning of my blogging journey.
When I started this blog, it was to follow my adventures of being a college student. Man, if only I had signed up to be one of Seventeen's freshman fifteen bloggers when I had the chance! Aw well. Starting the blog, I had a few main goals: 1. Get a Degree 2. Not Gain the Dreaded Freshmen Fifteen 3. Study Abroad 4. Stay out of Debt 5. Get Good Grades 6. Make Friends. The last goal was to blog everyday.

Originally I think I had thoughts of: "Maybe this will get me somewhere. Maybe I'll get a lot of readers. Maybe this will be something I could show to show my writing skills."
But then I didn't get many readers. It didn't help me get to anything bigger. Plus, as I mentioned before, I wouldn't dare show this blog to anyone for a job.

At the same time, the blog was supposed to be a place to throw my thoughts out. Blogs tend to be kind of like online journals. A fine and dandy idea at first, but then... the thoughts felt forced. Like I had to write them. For who? My mom, sister, and a few other people who have a million other blog possibilities?

Soon I told myself that I didn't need to blog everyday. Why write dribble if it's not worth any one's time (including my own)? At least that's what I told myself. Yet, I still felt obligated to write everyday.

Why is that? Why do I feel like it's somehow my JOB to write about what I'm thinking about every day? Is it because of consistency? Or maybe it's because there are so many other bloggers that write everyday. That gave me a funny thought though: Y'see, some of my favorite bloggers don't write everyday. (Don't get me wrong, I like plenty of bloggers that do) For the bloggers that don't write everyday, I get so excited when I see one of their posts in my blogroll. It's like a treat! Now, I'm not sure if my blog would ever be like that, but my point is that interesting blogging doesn't have to be an everyday thing. Especially if you have nothing to say everyday.

I had one last reason to blog, and that's for fun. However, that brings me back to the commitment side of it. After awhile, blogging sometimes isn't fun. Just forced.

I know that I'll probably stop blogging here when I'm done with college. It's not a for sure thing, but I'm pretty sure I'll stop. For now, I'll keep blogging until I reach my college goals. Doesn't mean I'll blog everyday though. If I have nothing to write, I simply won't write. Even if I have to force myself not to. (Sounds weird, but true.)

Perhaps a new chapter in my blogging ventures has occurred? Well, we'll see.

Other than that, my registration for classes was today. Registering for classes sucks. I have a really weird schedule, and I'm not sure how it's going to work with my college plans. Crap. I'm hoping things will get fixed up.

Why do you blog?

11 Things

Yesterday was just not going to be a posting day. I had a new post open, ready to go but then came to the conclusions that nothing was going to get written. I had a midterm to study for.

An exciting thing that happened though is that I was tagged by Kat! I've never been tagged. Probably because I don't read/comment on enough blogs. Hmm.
Anywho, here are my 11 Things:

1.Are you a shoe person or a purse person?
Hmm. I tend to stick to one type of thing if I really love it when it comes to both shoes and purses. I think I'm more of a shoe person though, because I like to have creative shoes. They can make an outfit.

2.What’s your favorite scent?
Baked goods in the oven probably. Or my Green Apple perfume, it's quite nice.

3. Cloth napkins or paper towels?
I know it's not Eco friendly, but I like paper towels.

4. Your house is burning down.  What three non-living things do you grab and why?
Tough. I think my computer, my panda blanket (I like my panda blanket, lay off), and my purse (it tends to have a lot of stuff in it). I might switch running shoes in there somewhere, but I feel like those would be easier to replace. Especially since I'm already past the 500 mile mark for my current shoes.

5. Would you ever admit to having road rage?
Yes. I'll admit at times I can have road rage, but it's usually muted if there are other people in the car. If I'm by myself? "*#@!*!" Then again, I also sing at the top of my lungs when I'm in the car alone.

6.Have you ever purchased something off of Etsy?  If so, what?  And was it fabulous?  Or was it a Regretsy?
I bought a puzzle piece necklace off of Etsy, and I still like it.

7. If you could take one news station off of the air, what would it be?
See, I don't know if I can say just because I don't watch the news often. I know, bad of me. Still, I have no biases.

8. How would you rate yourself on a scale of one to crafty?  We assume that rickrack is somewhere in the middle.
I used to be so crafty. I did ceramics, and I was an avid drawer. What happened? I still think I'm fairly creative. I think I'm going to start drawing again. I saw there was this session happening next month on travel journaling, and I've always liked travel journals (the art kind, that is!).

9. What’s your standard drink order at a restaurant?
Water, Diet Pepsi if I'm getting treated. Remember the soda thing?

10. Share your definition of the perfect home-cooked meal.  Bonus points if you share recipes too.
I don't do a lot of "home-cooked meals", or anything fancy. Whenever I think of a nice home cooked meal, I think something Italian. Simple spaghetti, perhaps covered in cheese? Meals like that.

11. Plaid: Do you wear it ironically, because it’s comfortable or never?
Funny thing: Plaid is the unofficial color of Oregon. I have one or two plaid items. I'm not much of a plaid gal.

Due to the fact that I don't read enough blogs to have this tagged, I'm just going to let whoever wants to do it do it. I think I'm supposed to think of questions too? Well, I'll give you one.

If you could meet any person dead or alive, who would you meet and what would you do with them? I ask this question, yet I have no idea how I'd answer it. What a hypocrite.

Weight Loss Blogs, and Why We Read Them (Or at Least Why I Read Them)

I forgot to say anything yesterday, but thanks for the studying abroad support! Y'all rock.

When I first starting blogging, one of the types of blogs that seemed to catch my eye was weight loss blogs. The typical story for these blogs goes like this: They start a blog in hopes of tracking their weight countdown and having some emotional support. They go through their struggles, they go through incredible losses. Many times, they plateau, other times they finally reach maintenance. They open up about why they got to be that size, why it's taken so long, and eventually stat to open up themselves.
I know that I'm not the only one who fancies these blogs, they receive hundreds if not thousands of hits. Why are these blogs so popular?

For one thing, they seem to be the majority of blogs. I know many blogs that have transitioned from weight loss to healthy living, and a lot of them I've forgotten were even about weight loss in the first place. Really, the biggest reason why (scuse the pun) is because it affects so many people. If you're not overweight yourself, you know someone who is. Or a lot of people who are.

However, I think the main reason for the appeal of these blogs are the feel-good movie feelings around them. They've struggled, and as you learn more about them their story becomes something you're involved in. You want them to do better. You want them to reach their goals. It's part of the appeal in the blogging world: You don't actually know the people online, yet you feel some sort of connection to them. It helps if their writing is intriguing.

In my own case, I've never had a big problem with weight. I've mentioned it before, but for most of my life I've been average. I lost 15 lbs my senior year of high school, and then made a goal to not gain the Freshman Fifteen during my college career. Heck, that means even my blog has hints of weight related to its origin. I'll talk more about that goal tomorrow, with all of my other goals I've made. Still, food affects me. One of the weird things that has changed as I've gotten older are my tastes. Some foods I used to think were disgusting actually sound pleasant now, and that includes both healthy and unhealthy food. I now think potato salad tastes decent, but I also think broccoli isn't that bad.

I make sure to eat healthily and eat fruits and veggies. Funny thing is, my diet has VASTLY improved since I've started college, despite the unhealthy tendencies a college education may bring. Honestly, part of this makes me a little sad. I used to be able to make a meal out of junk food, now I just can't do it without feeling a haze. One summer, I would make a meal out of Ben and Jerry's. Yeah, ridiculous. Teenagers can do that, and not have to eat anything else for hours. At least that happened for me. (Don't worry, this wasn't a daily occurrence. It happened like, three times during one summer.)
I've even gotten a lot less structured. I eat when I'm hungry, and I don't if I'm not. I used to stuff myself just if things tasted good. Why waste a morsel? Not so much now.

As for my cooking skills? Well.... we'll get into that later.

Do you read weight loss blogs? Why? Or, are you a weight loss blogger yourself?

Back to the Apartment and Popular Posts

So I'm back in the ol' apartment. Yup. Might go back home before the start of classes, not really sure yet. Anywho...

One of my room mates is back, but the other one is still away. I suppose it's alright coming back to a not empty apartment, but at the same time it usually feels empty anyways. Good lord, that's depressing. (but true.)

Alright, my room mate is nice, just a little... lazy? I suppose that word works. She's paranoid like crazy though, thinking everyone is an intruder. Most of the time, we're on a pretty good level. She even texted me (and my mom!) happy new year. There's just one little thing that has irked me.

She happened to get the mail, and decided to separate it. I had ordered a book, and it came in the mail while I was gone. The thing is, the package that the book was in was already opened. My room mate replied, "Sorry! I thought it was mine..."
Honest mistake, right? Except this is the second time she's done this. I know it's not a big deal, but I can't help but feel a little irritated. Hannah H. does not look like Lu C. Did she even consider reading who it was sent to?

Oh, and it's nothing devious that I ordered, if that's what you're wondering. It's a book called The Fault in Our Stars, and it's a young adult novel. More on that later.

Alright, in news other than ranting, my most popular post has finally changed! For this week anyway. Y'see, my most popular post has been Fat Squirrels and Apples to Apples. Ever since it's been posted, that's what's been the most popular. Odd? Yes. The reason why? People searching the term fat squirrels. I wish I was kidding.

That post has 2,477 views for all time. The next most viewed post has 188. People really like fat animals apparently.

Well, I honestly need to get away from the computer. This post has taken a long time to write, just because I keep on getting distracted.

Bloggers, What's your most popular post?
How do you feel about other people opening your mail?

Stepping into the New Frontier of the Internet

Fun fact about me: I am terrible at making up usernames. It's not just that, but I'll try to think of a username for something for hours. Sometimes I'll just stare at the screen, thinking about it. How depressing.

So I got a Twitter. Yup. I have no idea why I should even need a twitter, because in my book Twitter is for:
  1. Famous people or
  2. Extremely witty people (Comedians usually)
I'm not sure I can classify myself in either one of those categories. I'll try to fake it in the latter category. Now, I do have reasons why I actually thought getting a Twitter might be a good thing. First of all, everything is talking about how "it's a good way to network yourself". Do I know for what yet? No. Who knows what it could help me with in the future with though. Another reason has to do with Jimmy Fallon in a broad sense. Y'see, lately I've been watching clips from his show, and one of the segments he has is called "Hashtags". This is created by input from Twitter users, and for some of the subjects I've thought, "Hey, I have a good experience I could send in," then realizing that I do not have what is required to participate. This actually works for a lot of things, because a lot of TV shows and such that I'm a fan of only promote things through Twitter. In my sad little brain, this makes me think that the shows don't think I'm as big of a fan. I have the dumbest logic ever, but you see where this is going. Last reason? Lots of bloggers seem to have them and it seems like blog-y things travel through the Twitter-verse.

Anywho, now you can find me trying to be smarter than I actually am in a different area of the Internet, @HannahHasAFact. Ridiculous username? Perhaps. It's sort of based off of the same idea that this blog is titled after, because in almost every conversation I have I have to throw in some random fact like a pretentious jackass. Good lord, that was a run on sentence. I felt a touch of relief when I saw that you could change it in the future if desired.

Did I just write a whole blog post on justifying why I created a Twitter? I think I did. There is something wrong with me. Then again, I usually end up joining in on the trend as soon as it starts fading. I'm like when parents start joining the Facebook, and it's not cool anymore. Eh.
If you just got a rando-person following you, now you know why.

So, to all of those in Twitter-land: Any good people to follow I should know about?

The Posting Schedule

You may have noticed that I didn't write up a post yesterday. Yeah. So much for my write a post everyday goal.
However, I will (try) to post everyday continuing on as usual.

Why wasn't there a post yesterday? Well, there was a lack of planning for one thing. Another thing is, lately I haven't really known anything good to write about. Heck, I might have not known what to write about tonight if not for missing yesterday. Besides, I was having a mini breakdown by the time I got home at midnight, so writing a blog post was not on my mind. (My schedule was off, my mind went into a frenzy of things I'm not doing right... It wasn't pretty).

It's like a diet. If you fall off the horse, you're not just going to go pig out because you messed up. You get back on that horse! Then again, it's a freaking blog. Not a big deal.

In other news, just came back from a family friend's wedding. It was really lovely, in a vineyard. Also one of the shortest ceremonies I've ever seen. Honestly, it was about ten minutes long. Wild.

That's really all I have to say right now!

Do you have a specific posting schedule? What do you do when you have trouble completing it?

What's My Age Again?

All of my life, I've been looking to the future. What's next after this step? What should I do now to make sure my future works out all right? I constantly try to live in the moment, but the rest of my mind gets caught up in what could be next. With the constant worrying about the future, I think about things like career and how I'm going to take care of myself one day.

My futuristic look isn't only through my life, I tend to connect with those "living in the future" for a lack of a better way to say it. It feels like I've always been drawn to groups older than me. The people I hung out with during this year at school were mostly juniors. I've found more similarities with my sister's friends than people from my grade. That tends to be kind of the case online as well.

It seems that much of the blogging world consists of females who are in the last years of college or older. In many of the blogs that I read, people are getting married, buying their first homes, getting real jobs, all that jazz. When reading about that type of stuff, I start to think about how far behind I must be. Then I realize: Hell, I'm only 19! I've got a lot of time to do stuff like that. It just feels like I should be getting it done now, you know?

That's just the thing. I'm still a kid. I still refer to my parent's house as my house. I still have a messy room. I'm still fairly young despite how crotchety I may act sometimes.

And sure, it's great to think about the future, but I know I gotta loosen up a little! Take the plunge on random experiences. It's all about once again living a happy medium.

Well that's my recent epiphany. Just had to get that out of my head. Other than that, I'm going hiking tomorrow morning. I don't really hike. We'll see how that turns out!

Do you ever had trouble acting your age?

Let's See Some Ridiculous-ness

With the good ol' blog here, I'm never sure if mindcasting or lifecasting is more interesting. "My life isn't that exciting" I think, but then I ponder "Well, does my point of view sound stupid? Or maybe the topic itself is dumb. Gah!" You'd think after almost a year, I'd know how to do this blogging thing right, but then again I'm still having issues with allowing people to comment. I dunno.
As for the mindcasting vs lifecasting idea, I'll just write whatever comes to my mind for the day I suppose. Like I have been doing? Whatever.

On my mind for this evening? Ridiculous-ness.

Truthfully, there's only one ridiculous thing I feel I need to show tonight:

Oh. Oh dear. Well, I suppose that it's good that you've gotten out of the house... but then again, this was in the parking lot for Borders, so it's a work in progress.

Speaking of Borders, have you heard the news that it's liquidating? Makes me want to cry, because there's a Borders I loved that will be gone forever.
But back to the ridiculous-ness. There's a music video that is extremely popular at the school I'm going to next year, but it's not because it's good. It's popular because it's that bad. Just watch it for yourself.

Let me smash it and bang it.
One day a couple of my friends and I decided to see if there were any other songs from this Turquoise Jeep Records. Oh yes, there are. All of them are completely mind-boggling, but the chorus of this one is stuck in my head:

I know. I KNOW.

How do these things even happen?

What's one of the most ridiculous things that you've seen lately?

Lack of Motivation and The World of Bloggers

I believe that the effect of studying for a good chunk of the day burnt me out, causing me to have a lack of motivation to complete anything today. That, and receiving a certain paper back.
Don't you hate it when you get great marks on the smaller assignments, making you think that you're writing everything right, then discovering that apparently you're not when it comes to the big essay? No? Just me? I know, I shouldn't be complaining about this, but I honestly thought that my writing had been good for the class. Well, I'll just be done with that for now, but I just wanted to get it out.

The blogging world is such a quirky, fun place. It's amazing how people can connect, tell incredible stories, and just create an environment where you can find at least one person if not many with the same interests. Before I started blogging, I occasionally looked at some blogs. I never really read any of the blogs on a regular basis though. As I started blogging, I started exploring blogs more often. Soon I had my regular blogs. I continued getting more regular blogs on my reading list, and I still am finding more blogs I like. (There's too many, it's ridiculous!)
Now it's funny because sometimes I end up thinking about some of my favorite bloggers like someone I know in real life. On a run recently, this is seriously how I was thinking:

I wonder if Annie's finals went well. They should be done by now.
Speaking of finals, how exciting that Lexie graduated from college! I wonder how she feels now that it's over.
I wish I had the confidence of taking pictures like Caitlin.
Gosh, all of the 50's inspired dresses that Jessica wears are so adorable. I seriously want to steal her clothes.
Speaking of things that are adorable, all of the treats that Erica makes look so fun and tasty. I wonder how her move has been going.
Rachel has been doing lots of home decorating hasn't she? And she just went on vacation, it looked really pretty.
Oh, that reminds me, how much longer is Mimi staying in the UK? She goes to the coolest places over there.
I can't believe Ashley went and ran a half marathon with her fiance who only had run a four mile run before. Crazy. She is a beast, and it's meant in the best way possible.
And Kat? Getting ready for her wedding, training for a marathon, and having two loved ones graduate right after another? Girl has a lot on her plate!

If you didn't already guess by now, those are a few of the blogs I read the most. Sometimes I'm forgetful in commenting, and some I miss a post or two. There are even more blogs than that that I like to look at. Geez, they're all women aren't they? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like a lot of bloggers are women.

To these bloggers, I'd like to say thanks. Not just to the ones who've peeked at my own blog (but you guys are AMAZING), but to all of you who have let the rest of us into your awesome lives. For being real, even if we can't prove it. For inspiring us unintentionally or on purpose. I'm pretty sure a huge part of the reason I thought it would be cool to do a half marathon is because I saw so many bloggers who had run them, or even farther. Bloggers who had only run 5ks, and had wrote about how scary that was. So anywho... yeah. Bloggers are cool.

Another thing I've noticed? All of the bloggers I read are older than I am by a couple of years. Many of them are about my sister's age (I think). Once again, I am drawn towards older people. Odd.

The main reason I started thinking about this was because Lexie messaged me asking about adding a Name and URL thing to the comments like so many other bloggers I know do. Currently, I am not sure how to do that. My skills in the language of HTML have disappeared, so I'm not sure what to do to fix that. It's like any language, you've got to continuously use it or you lose it. It could be because of Blogger, but I'm not really sure. So, if anyone has any knowledge on that... let me know! That would be great. (Geez, how far I've fallen in my tech skills.)

Right now I am lacking any good food for snacking. At first, I thought this would be a good thing so unnecessary snacking would not occur, but this is not the case. I've realized when I'm hungry, but not hungry for a full meal, I need snacks. Peanut butter, Top Ramen, and Bagel Thins are not good munchy foods. I shall jack some snacks from home when I pass by on Thursday.

My feet are horrendously disgusting. Good lord. Now that you know the status of my feet, you can sleep soundly. Or have nightmares, your choice.

How have blogs affected you? What are some of your favorite blogs?

Seeing As We're All Ladies Here...

I may not know for sure, but I have a pretty decent guess that the people who read my blog are women. I know that almost all of the blogs I read are by women, and I don't know if any guys I know come by to look. With that, I think it's safe to bring up a topic like bras.

Hopefully, all of the ladies out there wear bras out in public. Unless you have bizarrely perky boobs, we can all tell when you're not wearing one. It's not a great look to have. (Sure, some may beg to differ on that opinion, but not me.)

The one case I've never understood is the case for sports bras. I wear mine when I exercise, and when I exercise only. Yet, so many people I talk to love wearing sports bras. They say it's the most comfortable thing to wear, but I must disagree. Then again, I like normals bras. I feel weird when I'm not wearing one, including to the very last minute before bed.

Some may think I'm odd. I just think I'm comfortable.

Now that I've created the most random post in the world, it's time for me to say goodnight... but first finish some reading. I have not been sleeping well, can you tell?

Internet Distractions, Adding Spice to Fashion, and Skinny Jeans

The Internet. What a creation, huh? Like pretty much the rest of the world, I enjoy the Internet quite a bit. However, the magical invention can have some downsides.
I have confession to make: I used to be an anime nerd. I would read manga, draw it, make ridiculous Japanese references... Yeah. With my addiction to anime, that meant I read a lot of webcomics. With the webcomics, I couldn't just start reading it from where they were in the story. I had to read all of the archives. I would become determined to finish, and very few times did I read only a few pages then move on.

Ouran, look what you have done!
I hardly even look at anime things, let alone webcomics. Of course, there are still a few I peek at from time to time, but I digress. The point leads to what my bad habit has come to today.

Blogs. Yep, I have the same, "Oh my gosh I need to read through all of the archives so I have an idea what they're talking about!" I'm not like the rest of my generation spending hours on Facebook, I spend forever blog reading.

That is what kept me from being as productive as I should have been today. Ah goodness.

In my fashion studies, I've discovered it's a lot of hard work! There are just so many different aspects to it, and trying to figure out ways to incorporate it to modern fashion is difficult! One thing I've realized through it all is that I need to add some variety to my wardrobe. I've always gone with the "If it works, stay with it" mentality. It's time to spice things up.
Speaking of staying the same with clothes, there has always been a favorite type of jeans in my heart: The skinny jeans. My favorite type of pants tend to have one problem though, and that is stretching out. After time, all skinny jeans become less "skinny", and more... something else. I was wearing a black pair of skinnies around my mom recently, and thought I looked like a hobo because they were loose. It's not size change either, because I'm the same size I've been. They just stretch!

Pretty much all of my skinny jeans are too loose now, except one. One pair is actually kind of hard to get on due to being too tight in one area. Which area, you ask?

My calves. My skinny jeans have a hard time getting past my calves. You can see my muscles through the pants!

What!
That's not the reason I run, but it feels like a pretty awesome reason to run anyway.

This evening, I have played Hide and Seek in the campus library and watched some Improv comedy. Next I'm off to see a movie at midnight! I'm watching The King's Speech. Yes!

What distracts you on the Internet?

100th Post and Bugs in Bed

My goodness, it appears that I am to my 100th post already! And yet, I don't have anything super exciting to write about. Today was one of those days where you start cleaning one little area that ends up turning into cleaning the whole house.

Last night right before I was going to go to bed, something caught my eye. Crawling on my sheet was something about a centimeter long, brown and fuzzy. I believe it was some sort of catepillar. As soon as I saw it, I sat up, left my room, and proceeded to sleep on the couch downstairs. This is the second time in my life where I have gotten out of bed and slept somewhere else because a bug has reared its head in my bed. (The other time was when I was in middle school and a spider fell into my bed from the ceiling. I didn't sleep in that bed for days.) I'm not too worried about bugs most of the time, but if they want to have a slumber party I say no way.

Not much else is giving me creative juice for the evening, so I'll leave y'all with my little bug story. I hope everyone has a lovely evening!

How do you feel about creepy crawlies?

Traditions and Christmas Eve

Stopping by to post a quick post before bed. Christmas is in less than an hour in this time zone, and we've just finished up doing things for tomorrow. I might even have some cleaning to do yet! Yeah, we'll see how that turns out.

Everyone has traditions for holidays, and my family is no exception. I'm not sure when we started some of the traditions, but my favorite tradition is on Christmas Eve, after going to church service going over to the local Indian restaurant for dinner. I think it's such a fun tradition. My sister and I also always get a pair of pajamas on Christmas eve. I wonder when we'll be too old for that? Frankly, I'm still a child at heart.

I've been slacking in the blogging world, but that's what happens with the holidays. I have much to talk about, but my mind is in so many places I can' think of what I want to say. Eh. After tomorrow I should be back to normal.

Night everyone! I hope you have a lovely evening!

What quirky traditions does your family have?

The Not so Tasty Breakfast and Getting Work (kind of) Done

Friday is lovely, isn't it? It is here on campus. Most people have less or no classes this day, so it's pretty much a weekend day.

This morning since I didn't have class at 8, I went down to Valsets to have breakfast. I decided to try something different, so I had some oatmeal. I added some chocolate chips, some peanut butter and a dash of brown sugar. I thought it would be scrumptious. Uh, no. It was disgusting and had no flavor. I tried a few bites, then got rid of it and had my classic breakfast.

The bowl of not so deliciousness
I tried getting work done today. I guess I kind of did since I typed out my script for theatre and wrote up an Experience and Learn It for FYE. The only thing was I did more things that I could do later before I worked on things that are due sooner.

I am spending so much money lately. I need to start figuring out smart ways to spending. One of the things I spent money on was part of my Halloween costume. It's a secret for now, but it will be pretty sweet!

One of the biggest problems I find with blogging is that I always think of something interesting that I wanted to talk about, but when I get down to sit at the computer, I forget about it. Do you ever have this happen?

Danyon, Jason and I worked on a constitution for the club we are trying to create today. Very successful! We still need to get a few more people to sign up and to get a club advisor, but other than that we're almost there!

I ran 3.5 miles on a treadmill today for 33 minutes. The one positive aspect to running on a treadmill are no bugs. I cannot STAND bugs. They are seriously the dumbest things ever. For some reason they cannot see a 6 foot 7 inch tall female running towards them, even at an extremely slow pace. And they also seem to aim right for my left eye. A serious disgust I have against them.

Tomorrow is the Battle in Seattle! I'm really excited, it should be fun. Basically all day we get to explore in Seattle and then go to the game. I think I'm going to try as hard as possible to stray away from my room mate. Why, you ask? Why, because she is a downer. Almost on EVERYTHING she has to say, "Oh, this might not be fun, that could be stupid, etc..." It's a buzzkill. She's one of those people who doesn't want to do something until she tries it and then has a blast doing it. The before can just become tiresome though. I'm just ready to have fun and explore tomorrow!

A week exactly until my birthday! Yipee!

What's your biggest pet peeve when you run? What breakfast can you not stand?
