I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks such a pace is ridiculous. Anywho, let's talk about today.
Good lord. There has been music playing really loudly for the past hour and a half. Is this for sorority? Those girls be crazy.
The rain has officially arrived here in Oregon. It's not like the sun didn't try to peak out from the clouds, it was successful for an hour or two. Alas, the sky has turned to grey and the rain has started to come down.
Rain can be nice, sure. That's why Oregon is so green, and can be quite a beautiful place. On the other hand, rain can usually be classified as mrr weather. Weather in which you don't want to do anything. You just want to snuggle in your covers and waste time.
Thankfully, I actually ended up getting a decent amount done. Almost caught up on all of my Journalism readings, printed out some things that needed to be printed, work done for tomorrow... and it's not even 8:30 yet! Man, I love that feeling.
Lastly, ever since I moved into this apartment the only place I spend my time in is my room. I have a couch in the living room, but never hang out in there. I moved the kitchen table into the kitchen, but I never eat there. I think it's mainly because it still smells weird around most of the apartment (excluding my room). Thankfully, it's slowly fading away. I think. I don't spend that much time out there. I'm hoping to move myself out there more often, because now my room is starting to give me the same feeling as a dorm... except bigger.
As for the room mates, they seem to be talking louder and louder. Lu is on edge all of the time, because whenever I pass by even with warning, she jumps. All she or Hao Chen ever says to me is "hi", "bye", or "thank you". And yes, I am trying to start up conversations. That's not working. And this is something that has happened a couple of times already:
I come home. I go to the kitchen, probably for some water or something. Lu scurries out of her room in her bathrobe (all she ever seems to wear if she doesn't have to go outside), and looks at Hao's door. I say "Hi", which she replies, "Oh, I thought it was him who was home", and then scurries back to her room to watch Friends.
She really likes Friends. I think Hao watches 24. They never turn on the lights in their rooms, I only see a bluish glow ever coming from their rooms. It's... a weird living situation.
I think that's enough rambling from me for tonight, time to either A)Work on more Homework or B)Waste time surfing the web. You know which one is probably going to happen.
How do you inspire yourself to get things done when all you want to do is be lazy because of the weather?

Tuesdays, Mrr Weather, and Messiness
Tuesday has never really been a lovely day in my book. There's not much to be amped up for since you still have the rest of the week's work to do, and you don't have that high from the weekend that you did on Monday. I try to like it because I was born on a Tuesday, but there's still not much appeal.
Speaking of birthdays, today is my mom's birthday! She also has her last class for her masters today. Happy birthday mom!
Mrr weather is not appropriate for dead week. If you're wondering what mrr weather is, it is the type of weather where you look outside and simply mutter "mrr." from under the covers. This weather is definitely not helpful for the case of writing an essay.(Is that all I talk about?)
Right now, the room is atrocious. Not pleasant at all. By the room, I don't just mean the scary side (AKA the room mate's) but my side. When coming back to campus after Thanksgiving, I managed to get a lot of clean laundry. Has this been put away? No, it has not. Other than than, I at least still have a desk with room to put things on it such as my computer.
What do you do to get yourself pumped up to work when the weather is blah?

Good News and Hibernation Weather
You know how I've been talking about the feeling of hibernation creeping upon campus? Today was one of those days that it made you want to stay inside even more. This is why:
Icky. Oregon's winter is officially happening. I love my Oregon, but... mrr.
Today something extremely exciting happened. I was drying my hair when my phone started ringing. I suspected it was my mom because she's the only person who tends to actually use their phone as a phone. Alas, it was an unknown number. When I answered it, it was someone named Nick. He was putting on a One Act play and the director of Picnic told him to call me. Apparently she thought I was good enough to suggest to this guy to put me in his One Act. I asked about an audition and he just replied, "No audition, I'm just gonna trust her on this." How cool is that?! I seriously did not expect something like that to happen. I'm meeting with him on Friday. We'll see where this goes, but OH MY GOSH! Seriously!
In other news, I got a flu shot tonight. My arm is super sore. This better go away by Weight Training on Friday.
It's also the last day I'm wearing my pedometer. I'll kind of miss the little thing. A little.
Lastly, I also met with someone in the Career Development Center today. I just wanted some help on figuring out where my passions should take me in way of a major. Meeting up with her was a little bit like talking to a therapist about your problems. It's not really that I didn't know what I should do, but saying it out loud to someone else made the ideas seem more clear. It's good to get a lot of different views. Something she said at the very end of our meeting was, "I can't wait to see where you are in six years." That is pretty neat.
Now is the time that I must continue working on my costume project... or whatever else I get distracted by.
What was the last exciting news that you received?

Pumpkins, Family and Conversations
I am not pleased that it is Sunday evening. Mainly because I know that this week is gonna be one busy week for me. Especially homework-wise.
Last night as I said, I went to a haunted house with my cousins. Usually I am that person who is terrified of scary things. I don't go to scary movies because I know they will give me nightmares. Strangely enough, when I went to this haunted house I wasn't scared at all! Sure, there were some creepy things, but I wasn't super spooked. And they were good, too. Maybe I'm becoming more brave...
The main reason I went up to my cousin's house was because there was going to be a lunch for my uncle's birthday at their house today. Might as well hang out, right? I woke up early and went on my Sunday run. It was nice outside, then it started POURING. I was soaked! It was a nice 4 mile run anyway.
After everyone was up, we all went to the pumpkin patch. It alternated from pouring to okay so many times! We got some pumpkins and went through a little corn maze. Just a day out with the cousins.
When we got back from the pumpkin patch my parents were at the house and we had the birthday lunch. There was some chilling somewhere in there too. We carved the pumpkins awhile later, then it was time to go home.
What stresses you out? How do you deal with it?

| How did this even become a tradition? |
Sometime during the day I was feeling a bit off. Sort of sad in a way, but just off. I talked to my mom about it and she thought it was probably because I'm tired plus coming out of a cold. She's probably right. I've just felt stressed about things. I'm scared that I'm going to become overwhelmed. Scared that I'm going to try really hard to do well and not succeed. Worried that I won't get things finished. It's simply overthinking, but I can't help it. I suppose I should just chill out.
Speaking of work, I have some extra credit that's due tomorrow... After that, I should go to sleep. I've got a busy week ahead of me!
