Cringe-Worthy

Blaugh. For quite some time, I was excited to be on break. Now that I've been on it for about a week and a half, I'm going stir crazy. Pretty much I've been feeling like this:

Source
Yup.

Yesterday I picked up my epi pen prescription. It came with a little practice pen, so I can practice stabbing myself. Hooray. When I showed my sister the practice pen, she instantly asked, "Can I stab you?" Because an older sibling's goals in life include terrifying/annoying their younger sibling. (Yes, I know you can read this Chloe. I say this to you in real life anyway.) Besides, the doctor told me I should have other people around me know how to do it just in case. When she went to stab it... I recoiled in horror. There's no way I'm going to be able to have someone stab that thing into my leg, let alone stab it in myself.

Usually I've been fine around needles. If I don't see the needle itself, I'm alright with it. Show me that needle going into skin though? Euegh. I'm like that for most things involving harm to the body. Show me a person with their bone jutting out of their skin? I feel that pain. This is one of the many reasons why I could never be a doctor... besides being terrible at science.

A clever conclusion to this post is lost on me, so I suppose I'll abruptly end it. It happens. (Geez I've been saying that a lot.)

Do grotesque injuries freak you out? Or are you calm and collected when it comes to that stuff?

An All Black Kind of Day

Two early day posts in a row? What is this? That's just how we're gonna roll, I suppose.

This has been an all black day, for clothes at least. I wore my all black running outfit for most of the day, and tonight is initiation which is all black required.

Been taking a lot of pictures of myself lately. Huh.
Being slightly nerdy I instantly thought, "I look like a ninja!" in my running outfit.Which is always makes you feel cool, because ninjas are awesome. Fun fact though, ninjas actually didn't look like what we think they look like. They didn't wear things like this:

Instead, they really wore normal clothes as to blend in with the crowds. A true way to be undectected, rather than jumping around in black pajamas.

The whole black outfit did make me think of an occasional outfit that I do end up wearing, depending on the situation. That outfit is something I call The Lazy Ninja.

The Lazy Ninja: When you realize that you're wearing both a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. I discovered the lazy ninja last winter break while sittin' cozy watching movies. I saw my reflection on the mirror, a little shocked to see what could be a ninja that had let herself go. Thus, the lazy ninja was born.
I believe the only other person who knows of this is my sister, and she only knows about it because I mentioned it causually on the phone or something.

I think this should be a thing. Because who hasn't had a moment where they realized on their lazy day they were wearing all black sweats. Right?

Welp, I need to head off. Hopefully, tonight will be an exciting night!

What's an all black outfit that you like?

Civil War and Drowsiness

Today feels like Sunday. I'm so glad it's not, due to the fact that then finals would be starting. Oh dear.

Breakfast with Santa was... seriously? It was super lame. We even had to pay just to eat boring breakfast food! Santa was just sitting in the corner. It just sounded like it would be more... eventful.
Yeah, I realize how weird it sounds to say that we had to pay, but there are so many events that happen that include free food, I've gotten used to it.

I was convinced that the Civil War was going to be at 6 at night and was shocked to see it had already started at 12. I missed the first 30 minutes! This is what happens with miscommunication texts. Also the reason talking on the phone is better.
...What kind of teenager am I?
Anywho. The game was in my opinion, great! I was glad it wasn't a blowout like a lot of people were thinking.
My side? I may have grown up at OSU, and I love my beavs...

They're smelling more than roses this year. It's a good thing.
...But I gotta say, I love my ducks. Plus, they are rockin' it out this year.

The one act is tomorrow! Truth be told, the whole things has gotten a lot better since we started. I'm excited for it, but strangely a little glad when it's over. It's a bit stressful. I'm so excited I got to be a a part of it though!

Today otherwise has been... odd. I've slept a lot because I didn't get much sleep last night. Strangely enough I'm still tired. I also haven't eating anything that can be counted as real food today except maybe that apple. A slothly day? Perhaps. Definitely not used to it. I like eating real food. Back to normal tomorrow? Hopefully so.

The one productive thing I did today? I managed to put the sheets back on my bed. For pretty much a week I've been sleeping on only the mattress and white cover thing. It's been a distracting week. This could be the lamest I've ever been on a Saturday this school year. Do I care? Not really. I want to relax, so I will. Besides, finals are coming right?

Lazy Days Are Wonderful and a Curse

So very true, isn't it? I can't believe it's already 10.

Seeing as my body doesn't think it's a good idea to sleep in when the clock changes, I ended up waking up at 7 am. Eh. That meant it was time for my Sunday run.

For some reason, Sunday runs are the ones that kill me. Today was a marvelous example of that. It was only 3 miles, but everything was bothering me. First it was my arch, then began the lovely stomach pains and cramps. Ick. Add a sports bra that's too loose and you've got what I was dealing with this morning. However, as soon as I stopped everything stopped bothering me. That tends to happen.

I started out the day productive, but then it took a turn. Started watching some Hulu, went on a stroll for lunch with the room mate, and as soon as I got back to the dorm was asked to go to the movies. Of course I went.

We went to see Due Date. My opinion? Wasn't very good. The movie tried to be funnier than it was... There were some funny lines, but not enough to make a substantially funny film.

All in all, I am not prepared for the week to restart. I did end up getting some work done in the evening, but it still feels like there's so much more to do! There's always something to get done, isn't there?

How do you feel about lazy Sundays?

A Lazy Sort of Day During New Student Week

In my first few days, I’ve noticed something here. There is one guy who is everywhere. He talks to everyone, hangs with everyone, goes to every event. I know this must happen everywhere, but I have discovered our guy like that and his name is Rob. He just appears out of nowhere, and doesn’t have any main group. He is EVERYWHERE. Just a random thought I had.
Jumanji was fun last night. I didn’t realize I’d never really seen it, I’d only seen like 5 minutes before. There was also this racehorse thing which I was way too excited about after awhile. The crazy thing is, I almost didn’t want to stay when I couldn’t find anyone I knew out there. Instead of staying in like a sourpuss, I found some random people and sat with them. Isn’t it so much better when you make an effort to be social? You never know what you’ll miss out on.
We had an activities fair today that told us about things to do around campus. I signed up for a lot of things, but I’m not going to do everything. I just want info on it, you know?
Today has been a slow day. Everyone has become exhausted from all of the activities we’ve been doing and lack of sleep we’ve had.
I’ve written four letters, and I make some pretty sweet lookin’ letters. Check it out:
When I write letters, I write LEGIT letters.
I can't believe it's already Thursday night though.Where does the time go? I'm excited to start classes, but I know that it'll be tiresome. I can't help it!

I've noticed that my blog may seem a bit impersonal without a picture. The real reason I have not added a picture is due to the fact is I haven't found a good one! I'm picky, I know. I'll find a good one now.

What activites do you or did you do while in college? Did you have a guy you see everyone on your campus?
