Happy birthday to me! Well, officially yesterday, anyways.
Instead of another bullet list post, I'll try to think of something coherent to write.
This was certainly a weird birthday. It didn't really feel like a birthday. It just felt like... a day. where I went out to eat, and had some cake. Ate until I was sick, but it's my birthday, dangit. Still, it just felt weird.
I ended up staying up way too late the night before, and ended up waking up early again. Probably not the best idea, but what are you going to do, right?
I went to breakfast with my parents. I told them all about how school is going. I did laundry. I went out to dinner with my cousin and sister, who made me an amazing cake. The levels included cream cheese and funfetti frosting, red velvet cake, chocolate mousse, and a brownie/cookie mix. YUM.
But that's it. I was going to run today, but with the maybe 5 or less hours of sleep, and my body trying to shut down from overworking it/being sick, I thought it was okay to not go.
Being that I just moved to my new school, I'm still getting to know people you know? So, I just don't really have good friends to spend time with over at UofO. It just stinks, you know?
Like I said, it didn't feel like anything very different. Just an average day, with slightly above average events. I know I should be complaining, but... it just didn't feel special. Shouldn't turning 20 feel special? Sure, I could have made an event, but I don't really know anyone at UofO. Who would I invite?
Still, I'm super appreciative of my sister and cousin for going out with me, and making me an awesome cake. My parents are pretty great for taking me out to breakfast too.
How did you feel about turning twenty?

Goals and Weekends
Geez, it feels like I've been go go going! I just got out of school, what is this?
Now, being out of school, I'd like to take a look at the goals that I set at the beginning of the year. I know that the goals are for my entire college career, but since I've gone through a year, I thought it would be good to do another check up.
1.Get a Degree
Hmm. Well, I suppose that at the beginning of the year, I had no clue what type of major I was even interested in. Now with the transfer, I think that I'm closer to finding out what my degree will actually be. I hope. A year done, a year closer to earning that degree.
2.Not Gain the Dreaded Freshman Fifteen
This I think I've done pretty good with, especially since it is the end of my freshman year. Still, we'll have to see how it'll go with this summer. Yeah, today not so great with food today. I haven't gotten heavier than the beginning of the year, but I did get heavier from losing a few pounds during the middle of the year. Eh, I'm a good weight.
3. Not much to say for this one, so let's skip it.
4.Stay out of debt
Hmm. I feel like this will be a thing that I'll feel the affects of later in time. I was told that I didn't spend that much this year, but I still have to worry about paying for my apartment next year and earning money this summer.
5. Keep my grades up
This? This I did well on... not sure about this last term, but a GPA above 3.5? I think that's good. One thing that seems weird about this is that my GPA for WOU won't really matter when it comes to my major, or studying abroad. It's like I have to start all over again. Not exactly, but you know it just feels like that.
6. Make Friends
What did you do this weekend?

I think I was successful on this. However, it's another one I feel like I'm starting all over again. New place, new friends. I'm happy that I was able to meet some cool people though.
7. Blog Entry
Lookin' good!
Yesterday a super great thing happened. I passed the half marathon mile mark! 14 miles, aw yeah. And it felt like the running gods were all on my side! I felt good, it wasn't sickeningly hot... Ah. I did stop at mile three because I really needed to go to the bathroom... yeah, don't want to talk about it. Still, I ran that distance! That's all that matters!
Another thing that the running gods blessed me with yesterday was the happy surprise of the Saturday Farmer's Market! Plus, my phone camera decided to start working, so I snapped a few shots. If my Internet will want to work right. Maybe later.
As for today, we had a cake making competition at my aunt's house... this was my sister and I's cake:
I've got to finish up! Hope everyone has a lovely night!

Busy Days, Wicked, Car Troubles Return, and Letting My Cake Boss Show
I can't believe that it's already so late in the day. What can I say? It's been a pretty busy day.
Actually, I feel like I haven't gotten a chance to look at my usual blogs! I don't know why it's been so go go go, but it has.
For instance, as soon as I was done with all of my classes yesterday, I drove back on home and got ready for the evening ahead. Last night, as I said before I went with my family to the show Wicked. The whole reason we got to go had to do with my mom being an alumn, and there was a whole night with dinner.
The show was very fun! After seeing it, it felt like I was in on some big inside joke. Things flew around, there was some wonderful singing... It was just a fun production!
After the show, a not so fun thing happened to occur. Remember how I was talking about the putt-putting of the good old van? Well, I hadn't taken it in because every time I mentioned it, my mother would say, "Wait to get it done! Your dad can fix it!" Um... After the show, it decided to break down. Currently, it be in the shop, but it thankfully will be back in full swing by Tuesday.
Today was a day full of cooking and getting ready for tomorrow. Usually Easter doesn't become a very big thing at my house, just the simply Easter baskets and dinner. Tomorrow however we're doing brunch with some friends in the morning, and having a bunch of our family members coming over for dinner. The candy has become like rabbits (ha) and multiplied. The food in the house has grown. Fridges that were once empty are now filled with goodies to be cooked up tomorrow. Madness.
One of the last minute things that was made? This little beauty:
Yes, I'm letting my Cake Boss show. Aw yeah.
Hopefully after this weekend, there shall be more time to talk about all of the stuff happening in life like interesting and exciting things!
Have you ever let your Cake Boss show? (As in, what's the most interesting looking treat you've ever made?)
